Bachelor of Arts in English Education from Iowa State University (2014).

I was born in Iowa and lived in Nebraska until I was 4, when my family moved back to our home state. I grew up in a small town in the center of Iowa and attended Iowa State University for my 4 years of college, which happened to be only 30 minutes away from home. Upon graduation, I decided to move here to Jacksonville to be in the same place as my fiance, now my husband, a member of the United States Marine Corps.

I have wanted to be a Language Arts teacher since 6th grade, when I also decided Iowa State would be the university for me. This will be my second year teaching, but I have experience working with students, ranging from being a color guard coach and band volunteer to working with Girl Scout troops during college. Last year, I taught 7th grade ELA and moved up to 8th grade this year. I look forward to another great year at JCMS!
